We have been suggesting this page for our language learners in TEAM Japan. Is this site still active? May we still use it? I would be interested in hearing who is maintaining this site and if it is still possible to sign up to be able to work through these lessons. Thank you for letting me know if it’s OK for me to tell our new missionaries about this site.
Thank you for your work!
Katie,
Yes this site and the culture learning resources are still active, and are open for you and any like-minded colleagues to use. It is currently maintained by me, Roger Luce. I am located in Africa, on loan to another agency, and will return to the US in December, where I will continue to serve in the Learning and Development team with Ralph Elks. Thanks for exploring this site. We look forward to receiving your thoughts, suggestions, and any additional resources you may know of.
This is an important work that needs to be highlighted! You all need to be a part of the National African American Mission Conference in June. Please contact me. http://www.thenaamc.org
Hello! Many of the links do not seem to be working. I LOVE, love, love this site. Thank you for working on fixing the links!
Dear Roger: Thanks for this excellent resource.
Currently I am writing a language acquisition course for an agency. I would like to write a lesson on language and culture learning as part of the course. And, I would like to include an assignment in that lesson, that would require my learners to go to your lesson LL1 and carry out the activities there.
How is your site set up? Is it for free and open access? Do I need to request formal permission? Assuming that I could get permission to use the site as a resource for my course, what is my next step in the permission process?
