Preparation for my "Day"

When I’m at a crossroad

"To embrace our vocation in midlife means that we accept two distinct but inseparable realities. First we accept with grace our limitations and move as quickly as we can beyond illusion about who we are. Second, it means that we accept the responsibility that comes with our gifts and abilities, and acknowledge with grace what we can do."
Gordon Smith in Courage and Calling

Having had time to reflect on your talents, gifting, and character, you're ready to prepare for your Day of Prayer and Vision.

As you begin to make your plans you might be asking: "How do I spend a day in prayer?" You will want to gather together appropriate resources to take along with you; perhaps these suggestions will be helpful.

Continue journaling! As you prepare, your Day of Prayer and Vision journal will help you focus your attention, reflect, gather insights, Scriptures, and other information the Lord brings to your attention.

Because you are at a crossroad you will need to be very intentional. Discovering God's will takes courage! Asking Him to help you make a decision implies that you are ready to follow His leading.
